oUR RESPONSE

Boland Mechanical Contractors Ltd. takes the health of our workers, customers and community seriously.  We want to assure you that we have policies in place to ensure that our employees follow the recommendations of the public health authorities with regards to COVID-19.

We are writing to update you with the state of our operations and to advise you of how we are addressing safety for ourselves, our customers and our community. Yes, we are open for business and are here to help you in any of your plumbing, heating or gasfitting needs, but we want to ensure you that pursuant to the Occupational Health & Safety legislation, we have an obligation to provide a safe work environment.  Our suppliers continue to have strong inventory and supply chains. In order to keep you safe, we confirm the following:

  • None of our staff members have travelled Outside of Canada within the last 3 months, none of our employees have tested Positive for COVID-19 nor have any of our employees been in close contact      with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • If we feel unwell, we will cancel your appointment immediately for another time
  • Prior to entering your building/home, we will ensure that we have cleaned and disinfected regularly touched tools and equipment
  • While in your building/home, we will wear gloves during our entire visit
  • While in your home/building, we will follow the suggested “social distancing” and request customers and employees to adhere to the same while we are performing our work
  • We will require a confirmation of yes or no to the five basic health screening questions below

In order to keep our employees safe upon entering your building/home, we require some additional information from our customers. This way, we can prepare ourselves with protective measures. Prior to entering your building/home, we will ask that you advise us if you have had anyone in your building/home that fits “any” of these categories requiring self isolation:

  1. anyone arriving from international travel on or after March 12, 2020
  2. anyone who has traveled on a cruise ship within the last 14 days
  3. anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 (& not deemed resolved by doctors)
  4. anyone in close contact in the last 14 days with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  5. anyone who has developed respiratory illness symptoms and has not yet been tested for COVID-19 or cleared by their doctor

If you answer “yes” to any of the above, we will re-schedule your appointment for another time where/when the above does not apply.

We are committed to the health of our workers, customers and community and we appreciate your assistance in these unprecedented times, but if we all work together, we believe we can be a positive force in curbing the spread of this virus.
