Since 1988, Doug Boland and his team of certified journeymen plumbers and gasfitters have been providing fast, professional installation, service and repair to both residential and commercial systems.  

Doug Boland, the owner of Boland Mechanical Contractors Ltd. is a certified master plumber and gasfitter who started his apprenticeship in 1980.  During his career as a journeyman plumber and gasfitter in Calgary, he has worked on many large new construction projects such as Banker's Hall, the Young Offenders Correctional Center, local schools, industrial facilities, custom architecturally designed residential homes, multi family condominium projects and commercial tenant developments.  His decades of experience make him a trusted expert. Plumbing and gasfitting run in the Boland family veins.  

Doug's father was a journeyman plumber and gasfitter for over 50 years, to which Doug learned more than a few tricks of the trade from his father. Being a veteran plumber, Doug cut his professional teeth back before plastic piping was as prevalent as it is today. His skills at repairing obsolete piping, equipment and other "old school" systems are a must-have for owners of older homes and apartment buildings.  

From new construction to major renovations to the smallest repairs, Boland Mechanical have experience in many aspects of the industry.   We service and maintain a lot of buildings that are nearly 100 years old with the original piping and heating in them, with the proper skill and knowledge, these old systems can continue to operate.  With all this said, Doug and his team have just as much experience with new and improved methods that keep up with modern developments that will benefit the customer.​
